Collection

Below you'll find a collection of my favorite books, podcasts, articles, interviews, and videos.

In this collection, I've brought together some of my favorite educational and/or entertaining works on the internet. I hope you find some of these works enjoyable.

‍

Science

  • Huberman Lab with David Sinclair. David Sinclair is a world-leading scientist who specializes in "anti-aging" or reversing the process of aging. He argues that aging is not in fact an inevitable byproduct of our biological age, but a disease that accelerates over time. I highly recommend this episode if you are interested in optimizing your health as you age.
  • Huberman Lab with Andy Galpin. Andy Galpin is one of the world's experts on the science and application of methods to increase muscular strength, hypertrophy and athletic performance. He has mastered the art of explaining complex mechanisms in simplified terms that can be immediately applied to your own practices. In this episode, they also discuss hydration, sleep, nutrition, supplements, and mental tools that can be used to accelerate adaptations leading to enhanced strength, muscle growth and endurance.

Business & Tech

  • Radical Candor by Kim Scott.
  • Weapons of Math Destruction by Cathy O'Neil.
  • 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferris.

Personal Development

  • How To Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
  • Atomic Habits by James Clear.
  • ‍Deep Work by Cal Newport.‍
  • The Simple Path to Wealth by J.L. Collins.‍
  • The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. This is the most commonly recommended leadership & personal development book, and for good reason. Stephen Covey is a master communicator of how to structure your personal mission statement to drive productivity and efficiency in your life. I am only halfway through this book, but it's already solidified a spot on my list of favorites.

History & Culture

  • JRE #1284 with Graham Hancock. I've listened to upwards of 100 episodes of Joe Rogan's podcast, and this is one is easily my favorite. Graham Hancock is an elegant teacher of historical theories - some of which have been accepted by the scientific communities, others, not so much. Get ready for a whirlwind of ancient history that will shatter all previously held beliefs you had about human history. This one is a gem.
  • The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell.‍
  • Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. ‍
  • The Other End of the Leash by Patricia B. McConnell. This is an incredibly compelling book about why humans behave the way they do towards dogs and how we can adjust our behaviors to enhance the relationships we have with our beloved pets.‍
  • Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari.

Philosophy & Politics

  • The Centrist Manifesto by Charles Wheelan.
  • Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
  • 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan Peterson. ‍
  • The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday.

Religion & Spirituality‍

  • Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
  • The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.
  • Simply Good News by N.W. Wright.‍
  • Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly.‍
